Personal Injury Law Club
The Personal Injury Law Club is an organization that was formed for students who have an interest in legal issues surrounding personal injury law. The Personal Injury Law Club serves to inform, educate, and promote student interest in the field of personal injury law and related issues.
The Personal Injury Law Club main objectives are to provide students with a practical knowledge and understanding of Tort Law and to provide a forum for the discussion of personal injury law issues. Associated legal fields such as medical malpractice, insurance law, workers compensation, strict liability, etc., are within the scope of the Personal Injury Law Club’s activities. These objectives are to be carried out through regular meetings and special events.
The Personal Injury Law Club also organizes lectures, overviews, and how-to sessions in Tort law. Each year, the Personal Injury Law Club brings speakers to the university to discuss areas of Torts law. Speakers include lawyers from area personal injury firms and student members who have demonstrated specialized knowledge in a Tort area. The Club sponsors an annual career panel discussion and is planning to enter a team in a national moot court contest and hopes to participate in a national essay contest.
The Club assists students in locating internships and also provides opportunities for students to explore career and employment possibilities within the field.
